Project Engineer

Green Mountain Engineering, PLLC is looking for an experienced Professional Engineer to join our team in Greensboro. Applicants should have experience with site civil design and expertise in storm-water analysis and design, as well as proficiency with civil engineering software applications. Projects are primarily privately funded and focused on residential, commercial, and industrial site design. This position will provide support and leadership for our current team and will report directly to senior management.

Requirements / Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • PE License
  • A minimum of 5 years of Land Development experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and plan work efficiently
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Autocad Civil 3D
  • Proficient with earthwork analysis and storm-water management design
  • Microsoft Office software proficiency
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication skills, team player
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to work independently but also within a team environment
  • Goal-oriented within a team environment with attention to detail
Experience Preferences
  • Local, State and Federal Permitting
  • Site construction supervision and management
  • Feasibility analysis, due-diligence, cost estimates, and budgeting
  • Land surveying knowledge and understanding
  • Grading and Erosion Control Plans
  • Stormwater management and design
  • Effective time management and assignment of duties

Survey Crew Leader

Green Mountain Engineering, PLLC is looking for an experienced Survey Crew Leader to join our team in Greensboro. Applicants should have experience with robotic surveying equipment and GPS surveying equipment, the applicant should also be familiar with Carlson Survey Software as it applies to data collector usage. Understanding of construction staking and effective communications skills are necessities. This position will be our professional representative in the field and will be responsible for managing a survey crew in their work on boundary surveys, topographic surveys, control surveys, and construction staking. Communicating with contractors and project managers is an integral part of this position, a positive attitude is important.

Requirements / Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • Valid driver’s license with an unblemished driving record
  • High School diploma
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive land surveying experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficiency with robotic and GPS surveying equipment
  • Proficient with computers, email and file transfers
  • Detail oriented and willing to check and verify work
  • Willing to work overtime
Experience Preferences
  • UAV licensed
  • Site construction staking experience
  • Familiarity with roadway, utility, and storm drainage construction
